Oakland Gallery, 96-98 Victoria Road, New Brighton 6th October – 13th October 2024
Curated by Flotsam Fables as part of Wirral Borough of Culture 2024, Peculiar Tales from the Peripheral Peninsula was a captivating group exhibition exploring themes of nature, sustainability, mythology, and storytelling.
The exhibition showcased work by Flotsam Fables, alongside talented artists Ling Warlow (Paper by Dragonfly), Anna Ketskemety, Kim Harley Griffiths, Tamasine Seibold, and Kathryn Stewart.
This collective of female artists brought together their unique perspectives, creating a deeply immersive and thought-provoking experience. We also had workshops and performances running alongside the exhibition which were immediately booked out.
A highlight of the exhibition was a visit from the Mayor of Wirral, who came to see the works and show support for the artists involved. The exhibition was met with widespread acclaim from visitors and was celebrated by Wirral Council, who generously funded the project.
